For the Skeins You’ve Been Saving
You know the ones.
The hand-dyed skeins that felt too beautiful to use.
The colours you instantly fell in love with.
The yarn you’ve carefully placed on a shelf “for something special.”
We understand that hesitation.
That’s exactly why this collection was created.
The Autumn Poppy Accessories Crochet Pattern Book is a curated collection of six wearable crochet designs, created to help you confidently turn your most beautiful yarn into something you’ll actually wear.
A Thoughtful Collaboration
This collection brings together the creative styles of Fiona of Cosy Rosie UK and Joanna of High Desert Yarn who united by a shared love of beautiful hand-dyed yarn and wearable design.
Rather than creating one-off pieces, we wanted to design a cohesive autumn wardrobe of crochet accessories that feel timeless, practical and special to make.
Inside the book you’ll find six complementary designs:
- A textured beanie
- Fingerless gloves
- Cosy crochet socks
- A statement cowl
- A draping shawl
- A coordinating headband
Each piece has been designed to stand beautifully on its own - but together they create a harmonious collection that works across the seasons.
The shapes are classic.
The textures are thoughtful.
And the focus is always on letting the yarn shine.
Designed to Showcase Hand-Dyed Yarn
If you’ve ever worried about:
- Colour pooling
- “Wasting” a special skein
- Choosing the wrong project
- Yarn being too pretty to risk
These patterns are intentionally designed to remove that fear.
✔ No complex colourwork
✔ Texture that complements tonal yarn
✔ Stitch patterns that allow colour shifts to shine
✔ Manageable yardage
✔ Timeless, wearable shapes
Your yarn becomes the feature, not an afterthought.

🧶 Don’t Have Hand-Dyed Yarn? That’s Absolutely Fine!
While this collection was designed to celebrate beautiful hand-dyed skeins, you do not need hand-dyed yarn to make these patterns. - Every pattern in the Autumn Poppy Collection uses DK weight yarn.
And they will work beautifully with:
✔ Commercially dyed yarn
✔ Solid colours
✔ Tonal shades
✔ Acrylic yarn
✔ Wool
✔ Alpaca blends
✔ Sock blends with nylon
✔ Any natural or synthetic fibre
If you have a favourite yarn in your stash including budget-friendly acrylic yarn- you can use it.

It’s not about owning the “right” yarn. It’s about:
